Why I'm Running

What makes America truly amazing is the belief that anyone, no matter where they come from or how unique their name might be, can chase their dreams! I am living proof of the ‘American Dream’ and the incredible ideals of opportunity and equality for all. I see limitless possibilities for success and in public education, and I am incredibly passionate about its life-changing power! Let’s work together to ensure every student has the chance to shine and reach their fullest potential!

 

My experience as refugee coming to the US, as young man with nothing but a dream and hope for better future, inspired me to seek for school board service and bring a fresh perspective as a parent and new American. I am motivated to do all I can to give back to the community that welcomed me two and half decades ago.

I am running again to continue to serve and put our students and educators first.  When I first joined the school board, I wanted to address issues that the district faced and wanted to be a diverse voice that advocated students as we grow.  We need voices on the board who would listen carefully, ask tough questions when necessary, and work tirelessly to make sure every decision put students and educators first. I want to continue to be that voice — and that’s what inspired me to step forward once more.

I care about the district and all of you matter to me. Our kids’ future matter, and certainly the most important of all, our teachers matter; that is why I am running second time.
